As a Designer/Sales at our furniture showroom, you will be responsible for both designing and selling furniture that matches our clients’ needs and preferences. Key Responsibilities
- Furniture Design:
- Work with clients to understand their design preferences and requirements.
- Create customized furniture designs that meet client needs and suit their aesthetic preferences.
- Use design software and other tools to visualize and present furniture options to clients.
- Ensure that all designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and in line with the showroom’s brand.
- Sales & Customer Service:
- Engage with customers in the showroom, providing them with a personalized shopping experience.
- Help customers select the best furniture based on their space, style, and budget.
- Answer customer questions, offer advice, and explain the features of different furniture pieces.
- Close sales and achieve sales targets while ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Maintain relationships with customers, following up after sales to ensure satisfaction.
- Showroom Management:
- Ensure that the showroom is well-organized and that all furniture is displayed in an attractive way.
- Assist in inventory management, including ensuring that furniture items are in stock and ready for sale.
- Keep track of customer orders and ensure timely delivery of purchased items.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other team members, including designers and sales staff, to meet customer needs.
- Assist in the creation of showroom displays and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with management to improve showroom layout and sales strategies.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Designer/Sales position, you need to meet the following qualifications:
- Education:
- A relevant academic qualification in Interior Design or a related field is a plus.
- However, a proven track record in furniture sales and design is equally important.
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience working in furniture sales and design, preferably in a showroom environment.
- Experience working with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.) is an advantage.
- Prior knowledge of furniture materials, design trends, and customer relationship management will set you apart.
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- A deep understanding of furniture design principles, including color schemes, space planning, and ergonomics.
- Excellent customer service and sales skills.
