Responsibilities

As a Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, or Steward, your responsibilities will include:

  • Sous Chef:
    • Overseeing kitchen operations and managing the culinary team.
    • Ensuring dishes are prepared according to the restaurant’s standards and recipes.
    • Managing inventory, stock, and kitchen supplies.
    • Ensuring hygiene and safety standards are strictly followed in the kitchen.
    • Training and mentoring junior staff to improve their skills.
  • Chef de Partie:
    • Preparing and cooking dishes in the assigned section of the kitchen, including hot and cold kitchen sections.
    • Ensuring the presentation and quality of food are up to the restaurant’s standards.
    • Assisting the Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
    • Managing the preparation of specific menu items, such as salads, appetizers, and breakfast items.
  • Commis Chef:
    • Assisting senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
    • Ensuring proper food storage, sanitation, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
    • Learning new cooking techniques and assisting in the preparation of both hot and cold dishes.
  • Steward:
    • Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and utensils.
    • Helping with washing and maintaining kitchen tools, dishes, and cooking equipment.
    • Assisting the kitchen team with the setup and breakdown of stations.
    • Supporting the team in general kitchen duties as required.

Qualifications
