As the Senior Accountant for our Chinese restaurant, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial transactions within the company. This includes managing both fixed and variable expenses, bank deposits, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

Accounting Transactions: Oversee and manage all financial transactions for the restaurant, ensuring they are recorded accurately.
Budget Forecasts: Prepare and manage budget forecasts to help guide the restaurant’s financial planning and decision-making.
Financial Statements: Publish accurate and timely financial statements to track the business’s performance.
Closing Procedures: Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings of financial records to ensure all transactions are properly accounted for.

Balance Sheets & Profit/Loss: Manage the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and profit/loss reports to assess financial health.
Financial Health Reporting: Provide detailed reports on the company’s financial position, liquidity, and cash flows to management.
Audit Financial Records: Conduct audits of financial transactions and documents to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Experience: 5-7 years of work experience as an accountant, with a preference for candidates with experience in the restaurant or hotel industry.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field is required. Postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Software Skills: Hands-on experience with accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
General Ledger Functions: Experience with general ledger functions and managing financial records.
